2. Avoid Office Treats
I don’t know about you, but our office kitchen is filled with unhealthy food – brownies, cookies, chocolates. Just say no!

If you’re surrounded by a messy house or even a messy office, you will be less inclined to work out. Clutter often means you’re overwhelmed so try to reduce your clutter and free your mind to exercise.
9. Don’t Share Your Resolution With Toxic People
Conventional wisdom is to look to your friends and family for support, but if you have toxic people in your life, it’s alright to keep your new years resolution to yourself. It’s better to have this as your secret then to share with people who won’t support you.
10. Find The Right Gym For You
If you plan on going to a gym, make sure to research it. Every gym has its own culture. If you’re female and feel more comfortable with a women’s only gym, there are tons out there.
11. Be A Role Model
Being fit and healthy is often passed down. When you eat healthier, so do you children. Your parents, your co-workers, your children, all the people in your life are influenced by your food choices, so remember how you look and what you eat, influences many.
12. Look At Yourself Naked
This may be the hardest tip but it’s important to do. This is your body, every part of it. Really look at what you look like and make a goal to improve it. It’s too easy to change in the dark, to not look in the mirror and pretend you’re healthier than you are. Sticking to your fitness goals means confronting the harsh reality.
13. Park Far Away

15. No Excuses…especially in the winter

If you can’t bear to stop watching the news, here’s a tip: Mute the parts that are exploitative or negative. Same goes with social media, be careful how much time you spend on it and who you follow.

There are lots of fitness related support groups on Facebook to join, just search them out. Instagram is a visual social media so there are tons and tons of accounts to follow, but don’t just follow people that brag and flaunt their bodies. Look for those that are motivating, helpful and relatable.
